Cookie Dough Brownies

There are many different versions of these out in food bloggy land, but I have tried and tested this one and like it and therefore have not tried any others.  This is a wonderful wonderful dessert, bake some up and tell me if you agree!

Brownies:
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt

Filling:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tblsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Glaze:
2 cups milk chocolate chips
2 Tblsp shortening or butter
3/4 cup walnuts, optional

For Brownies:
Cream butter and sugar together.  Add eggs and blend well.  Add vanilla, salt, cocoa, and flour.  Don't overbeat.  Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan.  Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 min or until done.  Cool completely.

For Filling:  In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.  Beat in milk and vanilla.  Gradually beat in flour.  Stir in chocolate chips.  Spread over brownies (works best to just press out with clean hands) chill until firm

For glaze:
in microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and shortening or butter in 30 second intervals, stirring after each time, until smooth.  Spread over filling.  Immediately sprinkle with nuts, pressing down slightly.
Let glaze harden before cutting

ENJOY!

For the nourishing of our souls:
The question was asked in church today who do we teach our Children to look to?
and we read in 2 Nephi 25:26:
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins"

Do we have pictures of Christ on our walls?  Do we include Him in our every day life?  What is our relationship with Him, I feel the greatest time we could spend on earth would be that of our relationship with Christ, and we must teach our children that as well!
Have a wonderful day!
